I favor Tihar to Dashain for several reasons. First and foremost,the bloody sacrifice of animals does not take place in Tihar. The second reason is that Tihar is a colorful festival, the Tika of Tihar is a colorful one. Besides the colorful firecrackers add a beautiful color to the sky. More over, Tibar is a festival of light - and my opinion is that everyone prefers light to darkness.
